ROUTE
The Medium Course offers 80 km and 1,000m of elevation gain in a non-competitive format.
It is the ideal course for any amateur cyclist who loves gravel and beautiful trails.
Like the other routes, it starts with a climb through the Neufeys forest on incredible gravel paths. This warm-up leads to the second, more rural section of the route, consisting of a succession of little-used minor roads and fast tracks. Next, you can look forward to nearly 15 kilometres of fast, flat riding that will take you back to the south of the route.
Here, there will be plenty of opportunities to ride fast, and it will be more enjoyable to find a group to tackle the wind, which can be a tough opponent. The last few kilometres will not be the easiest, with two steep climbs, including the steepest of the day with a gradient of over 15%. You will then head towards Neufchâteau on a 15-kilometre stretch that is mostly downhill.
This route offers plenty of challenges while allowing you to take your time without the pressure of the rankings. It is the ideal opportunity to test yourself without pressure while discovering the region.
